Kanye West announces Canadian dates on new tour

TORONTO — Kanye West is taking a break from changing diapers and heading out on his first solo tour in five years — and he’s stopping in Canada.

West announced the tour in support of Yeezus on Friday morning via Twitter.

Kendrick Lamar will open for West on select dates during the tour, which starts Oct. 19 in Seattle and ends Dec. 7 in Houston.

West will perform Oct. 20 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Nov. 12 at Air Canada Centre in Toronto and Nov. 14 at Montreal’s Bell Centre.

Lamar is special guest for all three Canadian shows.

Tickets go on sale Sept. 13 for the Vancouver and Toronto shows.

West, 36, and girlfriend Kim Kardashian welcomed daughter North in June.
