TORONTO – An elderly man died Thursday evening after being hit by a truck in Scarborough.
The incident happened just after 6 p.m near Markham Road and Milner Avenue.

The man, who was riding a mobility scooter, was travelling along Milner Avenue when he was hit by the truck at a crosswalk.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Traffic Services have taken over the investigation and the area is expected to be closed for several hours as they reconstruct the scene.
