TORONTO – A passerby got quite a scare after finding a snake in a Scarborough school yard Monday night.
Police say the person spotted the reptile on a bench outside Port Royal Public School near Steeles Avenue East and Brimley Road around 12:30 a.m.
Toronto Animal Services was brought in to remove the one metre-long ball python from the scene.
No one was injured and the animal’s owner has yet to come forward.
The snake has since been transferred to a reptile zoo in Vaughan.
