REGINA – Saskatchewan Roughrider fans got into the swing of things days before the Labour Day Classic game kicks off.

On Wednesday dozens of fans turned out to destroy a vehicle with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers logo on it.

The Blue Bomber car piñata was set up at the Northgate Mall over the lunch hour and gave fans of the Riders a chance to swing a sledgehammer at the car decked out in Blue Bomber colours.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

The car was donated by the Kidney Foundation of Saskatchewan. Fans had to make a donation to the charity before they could take a swing.
