Boil water order lifted for Canmore, surrounding communities

On Aug. 9, the Town of Canmore said boil water orders have been lifted for the entire town and surrounding communities.

In a Facebook post, the town said residents can click here for more information on what to do now that the order is no longer in effect.

The boil water order was first issued for the area on July 29 after high levels of turbidity were detected in the drinking water of the town and surrounding communities.

Since the order was first put into place, the advisory was lifted for different areas as Epcor made progress on addressing the situation, but Aug. 9 was the first day the order was no longer in effect for any area in the region.
