Jackson-Bieber track appears online, quickly disappears

TORONTO — Record label Sony Music Entertainment has filed a copyright claim to get a recording of “Slave 2 The Rhythm” by the late Michael Jackson and Canadian pop star Justin Bieber yanked from the Internet.

As of Tuesday morning, though, the song could still be found online.

Hours before the song was apparently leaked online, Bieber tweeted: “Excited for what is to come. MJ set the bar. Not only for music but for being an entertainer and how u treat the fans. Wish he was here…”

The following day, Bieber tweeted a black-and-white photo of himself on stage in front of a huge crowd pasted below a similar picture of Jackson. “He set the bar,” Bieber tweeted.

In a follow-up tweet, the 19-year-old wrote: “MJ. The greatest of all time. #fact.”

Jackson is said to have recorded “Slave 2 The Rhythm” well before his death in June 2009.
