EDMONTON – Investigators are trying to determine the cause of a fire that damaged an apartment in northeast Edmonton on Wednesday night.
Fire crews were called to the structure fire in the Rundle Heights neighbourhood near 31 Street and 116 A Avenue late Wednesday night.
Firefighters arrived to find fire and smoke billowing out of a second-floor suite.
They were able to get the fire under control quickly.
However, the building was evacuated and one person required treatment.
Several suites have smoke damage and two have fire damage.
The residents of those two apartments were forced to find alternate accommodations for the night.
