LAKE COUNTRY, BC — A motorcyclist was struck by a loose tire off of a truck headed the opposite direction.
This accident happened yesterday in the late afternoon on Highway 97 near Ponderosa Road.

The 62 year old West Kelowna rider was knocked from his bike after making contact with the tire and suffered a broken leg.
The 53 year old Manitoba driver of the 2006 grey Dodge pickup was unhurt.
The tire was replaced a week ago.
No word on whether charges will be laid.
