TORONTO – Two youths have been arrested in connection with an alleged assault on TTC employee last week involving a BB gun.

A statement released by the Major Crime Unit says officers received a call about a shooting near Weston Road and Lawrence Avenue West the night of July 29, 2013.

Following an investigation into the incident, Toronto Police allege that two males approached a TTC bus as passengers were disembarking.

One of the males was brandishing what was later determined to be a BB gun, and fired at the driver, striking him in the forearm.

Two arrests in connection with the case were made this week: on August 1st, police arrested a 16-year-old male; an arrest of a 14-year-old male followed on August 4.

Police currently have possession of the BB gun used in the shooting.
