RCMP say one person was killed after the vehicle they were driving hit a deer south of Medicine Hat on Wednesday.
The collision happened on Highway 3 near Range Road 63 just before 7:30 a.m., causing the vehicle to roll.

Redcliff RCMP and Cypress County Fire responded to the crash.
RCMP said the driver was the only person in the vehicle, a Chrysler Neon, and was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s age and gender hasn’t been released by RCMP.

Officers closed down a section of Highway 3 for several hours while they investigated.
Medicine Hat is located about 300 kilometres southeast of Calgary.
