TORONTO – Justin Bieber has been accused of spitting in the face of a man he believed had taken his picture.

A Columbus, Ohio club DJ said he was assaulted by the Canadian pop star at The Social Room last Friday night.

“Justin Bieber spit right in my face,” he told local radio station WNCI 97.9.

The DJ said two members of Bieber’s security team approached him and accused him of taking photos. He claimed they took his phone and went through it looking for photos, but found none.

Bieber allegedly confronted him on his way out of the club. “He looks right in my face, says a couple of choice words and then spits in my face and walks off,” the DJ told the radio station.

WNCI did not identify the DJ on air but Globalnews.ca learned he is DJ Addison.

Contacted by telephone, Addison said he is not giving any further interviews until he has spoken to a lawyer.

“I really want to talk about this,” he said. “But I’m holding off right now.”

Club-goers told the radio station Bieber and his team were shining flashlights at people who were trying to take photos with their smartphones.

The Social Room was hosting a party with Bieber’s official tour DJ, Tay James following the singer’s concert at Nationwide Arena in Columbus.

On Twitter, the nightclub reminded fans the event was restricted to those aged 21 years and up.

Bieber is 19.

Earlier this year, one of Bieber’s neighbours in his gated community in California alleged the Ontario-born superstar spit in his face after cursing at him.

More recently, video surfaced showing Bieber urinating in a mop bucket and then spraying cleaning solution on a photo of Bill Clinton.

Bieber performs July 23 in Ottawa and July 25 and 26 in Toronto.
