EDMONTON- One day after KISS rocked Rexall Place, a pop-up shop dedicated to the iconic rock band has opened its doors at West Edmonton Mall.
The KISS Army Depot Pop-Up Store offers fans an array of merchandise and music, some of which can only be found in the pop-up store.
“We have a lot of items that aren’t available at the concert and we have items that fans would be looking for,” explained Claudette Pitre, the operations manager of KISS Army Depot.
“We have a lot of plaques with gold records, we have coins, collectible coins, Zippo lighters, lamps,” she said. “We have all their costume wear, the boots in a few different style levels, the crème de la crème boots.”
The band has very unique and loyal fans, some of whom were at the shop Saturday morning, even after attending Friday night’s concert.
“The concert was amazing. It was really, really good,” Frank said with a hoarse voice.
Frank went to the concert for his birthday and even had a chance to meet the band. He says he had to get up early to check out the pop-up shop.
“There’s stuff here that they didn’t have at the concert last night, like this light. I think it’s pretty awesome, pretty cool.”
“It’s incredible to see how many people actually have a KISS shrine in their home. So they’re looking for that one item they don’t have,” Pitre added.
The West Edmonton Mall store is one of four popping up across the country during the band’s Monster Tour. It is open until next Sunday, July 21. The KISS Army Depot pop-up store is located in Phase II, on the first level of the mall, across from Galaxy Land’s main entrance.
