After 63 years, the final pins will be knocked down today at the Varsity Ridge bowling alley.
The classic 5-pin alley shuts its doors today to make room for a new condo development.

The next-door ridge theatre closed back in February, and two other businesses are set to close later this year.
The Varsity Ridge won’t completely disappear though.
The automatic scoring machines are moving to the commodore lanes on Granville downtown.
The Commodore is also hiring two staff members from the Varsity, and will take over the alley’s golden age leagues.
