REGINA – A crowd had already started to form at the entrance gate before 10 am Saturday morning.  The 40th annual Bazaart Arts and Craft Show and Sale at the MacKenzie Art Gallery is well-known by now.

“This is our 40th year, 40 consecutive years in which we put on the best, certainly the best outdoor craft market in the province and maybe across the country, to bring in really high quality work for customers who deserve that high quality,” said MacKenzie Art Gallery Executive Director Jeremy Morgan.

Every year, the show attracts between 5000 and 6000 visitors and organizers expect the same for this year as they celebrate their special anniversary with a dozen new vendors. 130 juried artisans displayed their jewellery, pottery and original artwork.  Several musicians also put on live entertainment.

“Proceeds (from admission) go towards our programs, particularly surrounding the youth and inner city programs,” said Morgan.
