Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for Saskatoon, Prince Albert and North Battleford.
The federal agency said a low-pressure system is tracking eastward across southern Saskatchewan on Wednesday.
The heaviest amounts of snow are expected over the northwestern and north-central grain belt where snowfall totals of 10 to 15 centimetres are possible before tapering off Wednesday evening.
Strong easterly winds are also gusting at times to 70 kilometres per hour to create poor visibilities in blowing snow. Winds are expected to diminish on Wednesday afternoon, according to the agency.
Environment Canada advised motorists that rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult and visibility may be suddenly reduced at times.

Snowfall warning ended for:
- Saskatoon;
- Prince Albert – Shellbrook – Spiritwood – Duck Lake;
- Melfort – Tisdale – Nipawin – Carrot River;
- Martensville – Warman – Rosthern – Delisle – Wakaw; and
- The Battlefords – Unity – Maidstone – St. Walburg.
