A specially equipped van that was stolen last week has been located.

Vivian Charest’s daughter Laurie has cerebral palsy, and the van had a special wheelchair lift installed so Laurie can get around town. The 2009 Pontiac Montana van was stolen from outside of Vivan’s home last Tuesday, causing a great deal of distress for the mother and daughter, as the lift would have cost $10,000.00 to replace.

Edmonton police located the van on Monday evening with the lift still inside the vehicle and intact. There is no word if any charges have been laid in the case.
