An Edmonton mother is pleading for the public’s help in recovering a very special vehicle. Vivian Charest’s daughter Laurie, has Cerebral Palsy, and uses a wheelchair. Vivian’s van has been outfitted with a special wheelchair lift called a "super arm".
The van was stolen last Tuesday evening from outside of Charest’s southside home. To buy and install a new lift could cost $10,000.00, which Charest says she and her daughter cannot afford.
The van is a 2009 Pontiac Montana, dark brown in color. Licence plate RHF-584. Anyone who has seen the van is asked to call police at 780-423-4567.
