The Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed that two men who were found in a rural residence in Cold Lake died of gunshot wounds.
The two men, aged 21 and 27 both resided in the home where their bodies were found. The names of the two victims are not being released.
RCMP are not releasing the type of gun or number of shots involved in the incident while the investigation is ongoing.
Brandon William Alexander Cruickshank, 18, who was also a resident in the home where the shooting happened, has been charged with first degree murder. Cruickshank will appear in court in Cold Lake via video conferencing on Wednesday, October 27th at 10:00am.
A second male that was taken into custody in connection with the shooting has been determined to be a witness, and has since been released from custody.
The investigation is ongoing.
