Penticton Creek in dire straits

PENTICTON, BC — It’s one of Okanagan Lake’s biggest tributaries. It runs through Penticton’s downtown core and is in dire need of repair.

It was in the 1950’s when Penticton Creek underwent a massive reconfiguration, but now the concrete used to channel the stream is cracking.

And Eric Szeto reports, recent funding for a new study has moved the city one step closer to a long-awaited creek restoration.
