BRANDON, Man. – Carson Focht scored 3:40 into overtime as the Calgary Hitmen edged the Brandon Wheat Kings 4-3 on Friday in Western Hockey League action.

Orca Wiesblatt had a pair of goals in regulation time for Calgary (12-6-3), while Blake Allan also scored for the Hitmen.

Jack McNaughton made 31 saves for the win in net.

Connor Gutenberg, Marcus Sekundiak and Cole Reinhardt supplied the offence for the Wheat Kings (11-13-1).

Ethan Kruger stopped 30 shots for Brandon.

Both teams went 0 for 3 on the power play.

ICE 3 AMERICANS 2 (OT)

KENNEWICK, Wash. — Isaac Johnson scored two minutes into overtime as Winnipeg completed a three-goal rally to beat Tri-City.

Cole Muir and Jakin Smallwood had second-period goals as the Ice (13-9-1) overcame a 2-0 deficit.

Blake Stevenson had back-to-back goals for the Americans (11-7-2).

SWIFT CURRENT, Alta. — Max Paddock stopped all 25 shots he faced as Regina shut out the Broncos.

Robbie Holmes had a hat trick to lead the Pats (4-14-2) offence. Riley Krane, Nikita Sedov and Zack Smith also scored.

Isaac Poulter turned away 49 shots for Swift Current (5-13-3).

Regina’s Ryker Evans earned a five-minute major and a game misconduct for checking to the head at the 10:43 mark of the third period.

RAIDERS 5 HURRICANES 3

LETHBRIDGE, Alta. — Aliaksei Protas scored twice as Prince Albert defeated the Hurricanes.

Daniil Stepanov had the winner early in the third period for the Raiders (16-4-4), while Ozzy Wiesblatt and Kaiden Guhle also scored.

Noah Boyko, D-Jay Jerome and Logan Barlage replied for Lethbridge (15-7-3).

TIGERS 3 WARRIORS 1

MEDICINE HAT, Alta. — James Hamblin’s goal early in the second period stood as the winner as the Tigers downed Moose Jaw.

Nick McCarry and Tyler Preziuso also scored for Medicine Hat (15-7-1).

Owen Hardy replied for the Warriors (9-10-1).

COUGARS 4 BLAZERS 3

PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. — Connor Bowie’s second goal of the game came near the midway point of the third period to lift the Cougars over Kamloops.

Josh Maser and Rhett Rhinehart also found the back of the net as Prince George (5-16-2) snapped an eight-game winless skid.

Zane Franklin scored twice for the Blazers (15-8-0) and Rhett Rhinehart added a goal of his own.

VICTORIA — Phillip Schultz had a hat trick as the Royals dispatched Edmonton.

Keanu Derungs had the winner at the 8:25 mark of the third period for Victoria (11-8-1), while Jacob Herauf also scored.

Carter Souch, Riley Sawchuk and Liam Keeler supplied the offence for the Oil Kings (14-5-5).

ROCKETS 3 THUNDERBIRDS 2

KENT, Wash. — Dillon Hamaliuk scored twice, including the third-period winner, as Kelowna slipped past Seattle.

Dallon Wilton opened scoring for the Rockets (12-8-2).

Conner Bruggen-Cate and Payton Mount tied it 2-2 for the Thunderbirds (6-12-3).

SILVERTIPS 6 BLADES 1

EVERETT, Wash. — Gage Goncalves scored twice, including the eventual winner, as the Silvertips routed Saskatoon.

Gianni Fairbrother and Jackson Berezowski had two goals apiece for Everett (15-4-1).

Radek Kucerik scored for the Blades (12-10-2).
