Busted for dealing pot at McDonald’s

WEST KELOWNA, BC — A West Kelowna man is facing charges for allegedly dealing drugs out of the local McDonald’s parking lot.

Police arrested the suspect last Friday following a tip from the public after being observed selling marijuana from his pick-up truck in the Gellatly Road McDonald’s.

“When police attended, they located a white Ford F150 with Alberta plates parking at the rear of the restaurant. Police initiated a traffic stop and subsequently arrested the 34 year old West Kelowna man for possession of a controlled substance,” says Constable Kris Clark.

He says police found more than 40 grams of marijuana, more than $2400 in cash and a pair of brass knuckles.

The suspect has been released on a promise to appear in court in August.
