TORONTO — Toronto police say they have found a body in the Humber River near the Old Mill Road Bridge.
Police haven’t identified if it is a man or a woman.
Last week rescuers were searching for a man who jumped into the Humber River in pursuit of his dog who fell into the water on Wednesday evening.
The man entered the water near the entrance to the river on Lawrence Avenue West. The dog was able to get out of the river on its own, however the man was swept away in the fast-moving current.
Police and firefighters were unable to find the man after a search Wednesday evening and Thursday morning.
Police aren’t saying if the two incidents are connected.
