Motorcyclist in critical condition after crash with cube truck

A crash on Sunday, May 26th killed 32-year-old Robert Enstrom, who sustained serious injuries when his bike collided with a cube van at the intersection of Tache Avenue and Centre Street North. Global News

The driver of a cube truck is in police custody tonight as Calgary Police investigate a hit and run crash between a truck and a motorcycle on Sunday.

Police were called to Centre Street just south of 64 Avenue northwest at about 3:30pm on Sunday.

Police say they believe two people on a motorcycle were travelling southbound on Centre Street when they were hit by a truck turning north onto the same street.

The man driving the motorcycle was rushed to hospital in critical condition while a passenger was transported in stable condition.

Police later recovered both the truck and its driver at a different location,

They say the truck was found after calls came in from the public when Calgary Police appealed for help on their Twitter account.

No charges have been laid and police continue to investigate.
