Newfoundland man wins lottery, plans to trade in bike for convertible

MONCTON, N.B. – It was the first lottery ticket Wayne Hiltz had ever purchased – and it turned out to be a good investment.

Hiltz, a resident of Bay Roberts, N.L., won $2 million when he scratched the ticket a few days ago.

He says he read the rules on the ticket a dozen times before he called Atlantic Lottery to confirm the win.

Hiltz says he plans to trade in his bike – his only mode of transportation – for a new Ford Mustang convertible.

He also plans to take a trip and build a new home, probably a log cabin.
