SASKATOON – Two Saskatchewan mothers are giving back to a unit that helped their families when they needed it the most.
Amy Novakovski and Karey Gerber had to turn to the neonatal intensive care unit at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon when their children required medical attention.
The pair are now working hard to raise funds for the unit and held a steak night and silent auction last Friday.
Almost $20,000 was raised in the second annual event, more than double what was raised last year.
They are hoping to top $30,000 and are accepting donations until the end of May.
To make a contribution, call Amy at 306-384-2568. A tax receipt will be issued for any donation over $10.00.
