BC NDP leader has won his Vancouver-Kingsway riding, defeating BC Liberal Gurjit Dhillion 63 per cent to 23 percent.
Green candidate Gregory Esau had 13.5 per cent of the vote.
In 2009, Dix won this riding for the second straight time, defeating Liberal Bill Yuen by nearly 3000 votes, 55 per cent to 39 per cent.
Created before the 1991 election from the old Vancouver East riding, Vancouver-Kensington roughly comprises the Renfrew-Collingwood neighbourhood.
Aside from the 2001 election, the area has voted for the NDP candidate in every election since 1956.
