The BC NDP have an 8 point lead as British Columbians head to the polls tomorrow, according to the latest poll by Ipsos Reid.
The results reveal voters are mainly unchanged in their decisions from a poll taken last Wednesday and Thursday.
The BC NDP currently has the support of 45 per cent of voters, which is an 8 point lead over the BC Liberals who remain unchanged at 37 per cent. The BC Greens are at 9 per cent, down one, and the BC Conservatives are at 6 per cent, down 1 as well.
All other parties and candidates are at 3 per cent.
With 45 per cent, the NDP are up two points from the last Ipsos Reid poll, taking one point each from the Green Party and the BC Conservatives.
The NDP has a 13 point lead in Metro Vancouver, and a 14 point lead on Vancouver Island. They are almost tied in the Southern Interior with the Liberals at 42 per cent and the NDP at 39 per cent.
Women voters still seem to favour the NDP as well, as they have a 14 point lead among women.
When it comes to the question of best premier, Adrian Dix and Christy Clark are in a dead heat. Currently, 34% select Adrian Dix as best premier, up 3 points from 31% last week. Adrian Dix’s 3 point gain comes at the expense of single point losses by Christ Clark (33%, down 1), John Cummins (7%, down 1) and Jane Sterk (6%, down 1). Twenty percent (unchanged) of voters are undecided on this question.
This poll was taken by 800 British Columbians, and is accurate to within +/- 4.0 percentage.
