The Hustle & Flow star will pay his ex-wife $5,800 a month in spousal support for the next three years.

In court filings, the two accused each other of physical and verbal abuse and extortion.

Ghent filed for divorce in early 2011, only a year after they quietly tied the knot following an eight-month engagement.

Howard has been in Toronto since early April filming The Best Man Holiday.

The Crash star was twice married to Lori McCommas, with whom he has three children. The couple’s last divorce was in 2007.
