WHL Roundup: Wednesday, April 24, 2019

SPOKANE, Wash. – Dawson Holt scored 7:07 into overtime as the Vancouver Giants beat the Spokane Chiefs 4-3 on Wednesday in Western Hockey League playoff action.

Vancouver leads the best-of-seven Western Conference final 3-1.

Jadon Joseph, Bowen Byram and Brayden Watts also scored for the Giants, while David Tendeck made 28 saves for the win.

Adam Beckman struck twice for Spokane and Riley Woods added a single. Bailey Brkin stopped 26 shots for the Chiefs.

Vancouver went 1 for 2 on the power play and Spokane could not connect on its one man advantage.

RAIDERS 2 OIL KINGS 1

EDMONTON — Noah Gregor put away the winner as Prince Albert tied its series with the Oil Kings 2-2.

Brett Leason also scored for the Raiders, while Ian Scott made 25 saves for the win.

Wyatt McLeod scored for the Oil Kings and Dylan Myskiw turned aside 25 shots.
