Two people have been arrested, following an investigation into fentanyl trafficking in Niagara Falls.

Over the course of the investigation, police observed suspected drug trafficking activity at a residence on Hamilton Street, where a search warrant was conducted on Monday.

Niagara Regional Police say they found fentanyl which was tinted blue and a shotgun with ammunition that wasn’t stored properly.

A 38-year-old man and a 56-year-old woman were taken into custody on several drugs and weapons charges.

The accused will appear in court for a bail hearing on Tuesday.
