Despite the inclement weather, the Erie Otters were in Kitchener Tuesday night where they recorded a shootout victory over the Rangers.
After a scoreless opening period, the Otters took the lead early on in the second frame on a goal from Petr Cajka.

Eric Guest recorded a shorthanded marker to even the score for the Rangers.
Kitchener was soon trailing again as Emmett Sproule and Chad Yetman would give Erie a 3-1 lead heading into the third period.
The Rangers answered in the third period with goals from Reid Valade and Ryan Stepien scored to even things up but that did not last long.
Brendan Hoffmann scored with less than four minutes remaining to give Erie the lead for a third time.

Alexey Lipanov scored around a minute later evening things up and forcing overtime.
After a scoreless overtime period, in which the Otters outshot the Rangers 10-1, things would get settled in a shootout.
Greg Meireles scored for Kitchener in the shootout but the Rangers fell short as Gera Poddubnyi and Cajka each found the back of the net to give Erie the win.
