Police say they tried to pull over a vehicle, but it fled from them on two separate occasions. The vehicle was later found in a ditch in the Notch Hill area.
Police say two persons fled the vehicle, but, following a lengthy track by a police dog, a man was found while trying to hide from police.
Police say the man is not from Salmon Arm, but he had outstanding arrest warrants from Kamloops, Merritt and Vancouver.
The arrest warrants were for obstructing a police officer, failing to comply with recognizance, assaulting a police officer, possession of stolen property over $5,000 and obstruction of a police officer.
Police say a female was arrested near the scene, but was released. Police added they are investigating property that was found inside the vehicle.
