It’s taken more than a year, but a trial date has been set for a North Okanagan murder case.
Matthew Foerster, 27, of Cherryville will be tried before a judge and jury in Kelowna starting March 3, 2014, and lasting six weeks.
Foerster is accused of the first degree murder Taylor Van Diest, 18, in Armstrong on Halloween 2011.
Van Diest was found badly injured and died later in hospital.
The suspect has changed lawyers twice, and his current attorney, Jim Heller of Victoria, sought more time to become familiar with the case details.
