OHS now has “carriage of the investigation,” the RCMP said.

Leduc city councillors held a moment of silence for the victims at a meeting on Thursday evening.

Premier Rachel Notley tweeted about what happened late Thursday afternoon.

“While we wait for details about how this tragic accident happened, my thoughts are with all those who are mourning this terrible loss.”

An OHS spokesperson told Global News they had no further information to provide early Thursday evening.

Millennium Cryogenic Technologies’ website says it provides “controlled thermal processing as your source for advanced material performance enhancement through cryogenic technology,” which it says “more than doubles the wear resistance and durability of most metals.”
