Oilsands company fined for breaching water licence

FORT MCMURRAY, Alta. – An Alberta oilsands exploration company has been fined $100,000 for breaking the terms of a water licence issued under the Water Act.

Grizzly Oil Sands ULC of Fort McMurray pleaded guilty to breaching the conditions of a licence that allowed the company to temporarily divert water.
