Surrey RCMP say a pilot suffered minor injuries after his ultra light plane crashed this morning.
The plane went down just after 8 a.m. in a blueberry field south of Colebrook Road near King George Boulevard and 152 Street.

The pilot was able to eject from the plane by using his parachute.
He was taken to hospital with a broken leg.
Police say it appears the plane experienced a mechanical failure while in flight about 300 feet in the air.
