An all-star group of musicians is set to ring in Joni Mitchell‘s 75th birthday in November by paying tribute to the timeless songs that took her from the nightclubs of Saskatchewan to international acclaim.

The two-day concert in Los Angeles will feature a diverse lineup of musical luminaries including folk-rock legend Graham Nash, jazz artist Norah Jones and so-called “Queen of Funk” Chaka Khan.

Canadian artists Diana Krall and Rufus Wainwright are also set to honour the Prairie-raised icon. Other performers expected to take the stage include Kris Kristofferson, Seal, Los Lobos, Emmylou Harris and Glen Hansard.

The concerts will be held on Nov. 6 and 7, the latter marking Mitchell’s actual birthday, at Los Angeles’s Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, where the folk icon famously performed in the early 1970s.

The second show will be followed by a fundraiser for the Music Center, an L.A. performing arts centre, which will honour Mitchell with its Excellence in the Performing Arts Award.
