Onion Lake Cree Nation man charged in stabbing death

A man is facing a murder charge in the death of another man on a Saskatchewan First Nation.

Police were called to a home on the Onion Lake Cree Nation Saturday morning for a report of a stabbing.

Tyson Blair Crosschild, 28, was found outside the home in medical distress.

Lifesaving efforts were not successful and Crosschild was pronounced dead in hospital.

Dakota Dean Whitstone, 30, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder and breach of recognizance.

He is scheduled to appear Monday morning in Lloydminster provincial court.

Onion Lake RCMP continues to investigate.
