CALGARY- The rumour mill is swirling, after a surprise scratch ahead of tonight’s tilt between the Calgary Flames and Colorado Avalanche.
Just two hours before the 8 p.m. MT puck drop, the Calgary Flames announced that their captain, Jarome Iginla, is listed as a healthy scratch.
No additional information has been provided.

This comes amid widespread speculation that Iginla, a lifelong Flame, is set to be traded. He is in the final year of his contract and at this point has chosen not to re-sign with the team.
The NHL trade deadline is Wednesday, April 3.
