The New Brunswick government says its anglophone school districts have 97 per cent of their Grade 2 French immersion teachers in place for September.
The province’s four anglophone school districts have 68 schools that offer early immersion and the government says there are 119 Grade 2 French immersion classes, with 116 teachers in place.

It says the remaining positions are expected to be filled shortly.
Education and Early Childhood Development Minister Brian Kenny says as a bilingual province, New Brunswick must offer strong French second-language learning opportunities.
