The swim advisory at Couchiching Beach in Orillia has been lifted.
According to a release issued Thursday, the City of Orillia received notice from the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit that the advisory has been lifted.
The advisory was initially issued on July 17, after a higher than normal bacteria count was recorded at the beach.
A swimming advisory is issued when bacteria levels exceed those considered acceptable by the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit.
All three swimming areas in Orillia, Moose Beach, Portage Bay and Couchiching Beach are currently open for swimming.
