Nova Scotia RCMP investigate discovery of human remains in Kings County

Nova Scotia RCMP say human remains were discovered in Kings County, N.S., on Wednesday.

Police say that officers responded to a call at 6:37 a.m., with reports indicating a woman’s body had been found near a home on Saxon Street in Sheffield Mills, N.S.

The Mounties continue to investigate and members of their forensic team are on the scene.

An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon.

Police say that the name of the victim has not been released to the public.
