The victim was taken to hospital for treatment and later released.
The accused was located at the residence.
He was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and failure to comply with a probation order.

The accused appeared in court on July 6, was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear again in court on Tuesday.
