Suspects sought in Oakville garbage bin theft

Halton police are searching for suspects in garbage bin theft in Oakville.

The Halton Regional Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two suspect vehicles in connection with the theft of a commercial garbage disposal bin in Oakville.

Shortly before 11:30 p.m. on May 18, at least two suspects attended a commercial property located near Wyecroft Road and Dorval Drive.

The suspects drove two separate vehicles, which were then used to steal a commercial garbage disposal bin valued at $5,000.

Suspect Vehicle #1 (see rendering, attached):

The first suspect vehicle is believed to be a white Freightliner commercial truck with a blue light on the rear that turned on when the vehicle was placed in reverse. The Freightliner truck was used to remove the bin from the property.

Suspect Vehicle #2 (see photos, attached):

The second suspect vehicle was a black Chevy pickup truck, full cab, with dual rear wheels on the axle. The windows were tinted black, with running boards and the decal 4×4 on the rear panel. This second suspect vehicle had two distinct features: The first was a big yellow tank attached across the bed of the truck that appeared to be used to transport some type of liquid or fuel. The second distinct feature was decorative orange roof lights across the top of the cab. The roof light on the driver’s side was not working.
