Police looking for suspect in 2 Burlington bank robberies

Police are trying to track down a suspect after two banks in Burlington were robbed on Monday.

Just before 8:30 a.m., Halton police say a man walked into the TD Canada Trust branch at Plains Road and King Road and passed a note to the teller. The note said he was armed and demanded money.

The man was given an undisclosed amount of cash before he ran out of the bank.

Police say they conducted an extensive search of the area but did not find the suspect.

Investigators believe the same suspect is responsible for a second robbery that occurred at the Royal Bank at Plains Road East near Waterdown Road at about 2 p.m. on Monday.

Officers are searching for a suspect they have identified as 36-year-old Adam Patrick Delise, formerly of Oakville, who is wanted on two counts of robbery.

He is described as approximately five feet, five inches, with a small build, light brown brush cut hair, clean shaven and with acne scars on his cheeks. He was wearing a black jacket and blue jeans.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact investigators. If the suspect is spotted, police say not to approach, but to call 911.
