Police arrest three people in connection with S.W. kidnapping

CALGARY — Police have three people in custody and are looking for a possible fourth offender in connection with a kidnapping Friday evening.

Around 8 p.m. witnesses called police saying a man was forced into a vehicle near the movie theatres at Signal Hill Mall in the city’s southwest.

The vehicle was spotted by HAWCS near an apartment complex on Glengrove Close S.W.

The offenders fled the scene leaving the male victim inside the vehicle. He was later treated for minor injuries by paramedics.

Two males and one female were taken into custody. Police believe at least one more offender was involved.

Weapons were found inside the vehicle, but police refused to disclose the nature of the weapons.
