A Halton Regional Police officer is facing additional fraud charges.

Officers arrested Constable Michael Kellas, 29, Friday morning and have charged him with 13 counts of fraud under $5,000.

Police allege Kellas used his service-issued gas card, while off-duty, for his own personal benefit on 13 separate occasions.

Police say gas cards are issued to officers only for the purpose of fuelling service vehicles.
