A Winnipeg man is facing charges for growing pot plants with a fraudulent medical marijuana production licence.
Police searched a residence in Southdale Tuesday and found nearly $1 million worth of marijuana.

They seized 463 still-growing cannabis plants valued at $518,560 and 225 recently harvested plants worth $252,000 from a home in the 100-block of Driftwood Bay.
Officers also nabbed nearly $31,000 worth of growing equipment.

The 61-year-old suspect was charged with producing and possessing a scheduled substance for trafficking purposes.
He has been released on a promise to appear.
