Gallery: Mobile World Congress day 1 highlights

The 2013 Mobile World Congress kicked off Monday at the Fira Gran Via complex in Barcelona, Spain. The event plays host to some of the world’s largest communication companies and shows off some of the latest mobile technology, including Nokia’s newest smartphone and Huawei’s Ascend D2 smartphone. But the technology was somewhat over shadowed Monday as Telefonica workers protested layoff’s outside of the event.
