RCMP seize drugs, cash and guns in Portage la Prairie

RCMP in Portage la Prairie found weapons, fentanyl and cocaine while executing a drug warrant early Wednesday.

At around 4 a.m. Dec. 20, Portage la Prairie RCMP and the RCMP Emergency Response Team raided a residence on 9^th Street NW.

Five people in the home at the time were arrested and police seized six firearms, ammunition, cocaine, fentanyl, a ballistic vest and some cash.

Two 20-year-old men from Winnipeg and a 23-year-old man from Portage face drug and firearm-related charges.

Two 16-year-old boys from Portage were also taken into custody.

The investigation continues.
